Leicester Philharmonic Associate Choir

Following the success of a 6 week Learn to Sing course in May/June 2010 we have now formed The Leicester Philharmonic Associate Choir (LPAC). This is open both to former participants of the Learn to Sing course and any other interested singers.

The Associate Choir meets on the same day as the main LPC choir (Monday evenings) but its members use a separate room in Guthlaxton College.

It enables less experienced singers to acquire basic training with like-minded individuals. The choir will continue to develop its own repertoire and occasionally participate in rehearsals or informal performances alongside LPC.

The opportunity may also exist to perform in concert with LPC.

A very modest fee is charged to cover basic running costs but there are no entry requirements other than enthusiasm and a love for singing and group choral work.

Members who feel they are gaining increasing singing experience may like to try out the main LPC choir. This transition is welcomed and encouraged but the move can be discussed and developed at a pace to suit the individual.

The choir meets on Mondays evenings at Guthlaxton College, Wigston from 19:00-20:30.
